The color proofs arrived from Hong Kong this morning, and as you can see in these pics I quickly snapped, they make quite the stack of paper when sitting on my kitchen table:
At first blush, everything looks not just good, but great! I will take one more pass through before confirming that everything is ready to go, but this is the last hurdle before the books print and load onto a ship for the US!

Hi All,
I will keep this one short and sweet!
I received the following confirmation this morning:
"Dear Greg,
We have reviewed your files for Flowers of Battle, Volume One, and can confirm they are ready for production. Scheduling will move forward accordingly."
So it is official: Volume One is at the printers, and in about 10 weeks we should see books!**
Meanwhile, all but four people have filled out their Backerkit's, and any digital perks you have ordered should be unlocked and available to you by link. If you have not received that link or are having any problem accessing your downloads, please contact the backer support team, and they will be able to assist: https://flowers-of-battle.backerkit.com/faq#contact-us
I am transmitting shirt and bandana orders to the manufacturer today, and will have an update shortly.

** Remember, we still need to confirm proofs, then they need to print and ship to the US by boat and clear customs. That last part can take one day or two weeks, largely at the whim of the customs agents.

Hi all,
Just a quick reminder that your Backerkit surveys are due tomorrow! At that point we will lock-down current surveys and move forward.
A few specifics:
1. Digital Downloads are available immediately.
2. Clothing orders I am told will take about 3 weeks to deliver and will ship direct from the manufacturer.
3. Remember, print posters and perks will ship with Volume One.
Speaking of Volume One...we'll have our next update later this week!

Hi all,
We've heard from a few people that when their information was imported by Backerkit it shows as "No Perk". Yikes! I just spoke to Backerkit, and unfortunately *I* can't fix it, they have to do so.
Now, so far it seems to only be affecting three or four people, but if you have this problem, please contact:

And they should be able to go in the back end and fix you up!

Hi all,
Just a quick update to let everyone know that Backerkit is confirming that everything is correct with the surveys and all contributor's information and perk levels have imported correctly. Expect to receive your survey in the next 24 hours.
In the survey you will be asked to confirm the name you wish to appear in Volume One, given a chance to make any add-ons, confirm your mailing address and perks, and then will be billed for shipping (if there were no add-ons) or your revised total (if you added goodies).
Speaking of goodies, a few people asked for a close-up of the Florius shirts. We'll do one better! Here is the shirt:
