Hi everyone!

So today we received Tom's signed up copies and I have added my far less pleasing to look at squiggle of a signature, so we have all of the signed copies in hand.

In addition, the Sala d'Arme print editions (both B&W and color) arrived at the end of last week, so we've begun shipping those out. This means that by the week's end all remaining pieces of the Magistro support level will have gone out and all of the perks currently available for the Fiore and Niccolo' contributors.  I will post an update when the last  box goes into the mail, as well as a little surprise...

Almost there...

I have a short update just to let everyone know we're alive and well, and where the few remaining orders stand.

Both the black and white and color print versions of the Sala d'Arme edition (take two) are printing this week (FINALLY), and they look sharp. The original print problems are corrected and I think it was worth the wait. As soon as we have them, you will have them.

Tom got dropped bythe flu that is raging and then it turned into chronic bronchitis that laid him low and left him in bed for a couple of weeks. The signed  books are now on the way back from him, however, so once we have this and the Sala Edition, the overseas Magistro perks, and the Fiore dei Liberi and Niccolo d'Este perks will all be shipping out.

Now, speaking of shipping -- it looks like a few orders have gone missing, and all of them, interestingly enough, in Canada. I am tracking them, but if we can't get an easy answer, we will ship new copies to you. So if you are at a perk level that should have shipped,  please be patient for just a few days and we'll update you with what is happening.

We are just about at the end, everyone!

It was going soooo smoothly.

  • First, we had an amazing fund-raiser, thanks to all of YOU.
  • Then, the books arrived from the printer, on-time and exactly as advertised.
  • Over the holidays, I made progress on getting a finalized manuscript of Volume II, and Volume III is nearly complete, putting us slightly ahead on our production schedule!
  • Volume One has shipped to about 2/3 of members and, although deliveries to Canada are taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r, everyone who has received their books seems overjoyed with the final product! (BIG sighs of relief.)

And then, the print version of the Sala Edition -- the theoretically "easy" part of the project -- became one giant headache.

We had hoped that the 10 day delay would get everything resolved to our satisfaction and a finished product in our hands and ready to go. That didn't happen. The good news is that the Edition WILL happen, the bad news is that it isn't ready yet and it may be a few weeks before it is. Obviously, making our Magistro and above contributors wait any longer is basically punishing you for having given us MORE money, and that's crazy.

So we will fulfill the remaining 35 orders that are outstanding at the start of next week, and will ship the Sala d'Arme print editions out separately when they become available. Not to worry, the extra postage is on *us*, you just need to be a little patient and keep yourselves distracted while you wait by reading through your big, full-color book! :)

More seriously, we apologize for the delay and would have just done this from the start, if we had thought the problem was going to take this long to solve.

I will write again when the Magistro and Fiore dei Liberi levels have shipped, and when I have the bound Sala edition in hand.

Best wishes,

Greg

Greetings everyone!

A Christmas cold kept me house-bound for a couple of days, but in addition to the Subscriber level orders that shipped before Christmas, the last of the Scholaro orders have now shipped (most yesterday, a few today) as has the Volume One portion for the Rival Masters contributors, with the last few going on Saturday, at which point we will have shipped or hand delivered just over 100 books.

For Magistro, Fiore and Niccolo' d'Este supporters, we are still waiting on the sala d'arme print editions, which I hope to have within a week. Please be patient (and remember, we said we'd fulfill by January, so we are still running a little ahead)!

So far, response to the book has been very enthusiastic, so we are resting a bit easier knowing that folks will feel the wait was worthwhile.

Meanwhile, Greg is finishing up the manuscript for Volume II...

Wishing you and yours as very happy new year!
